With a bit of time to spare I’ve been going through old holiday pics from one of my favourite trips to Uzbekistan with the amazing buildings of Samarkand and Bukhara from which I’ve taken the patterns as a base for some of my latest work, some of which can be seen on the Contemporary […]
I recently had a trip up north to deliver a new sculpture created from a mix or rusted corten steel and polished stainless steel to my Braganca design.
My journey back home took me down the M1 right past the Yorkshire Sculpture Park. The sun was shining and a cuppa and cake and a walk […]
Just finished my new sculpture, Khiva and managed to get a quick photo on a dramatic stormy afternoon.
Really pleased with it, a design that I’ve been dabbling with for a while. To be honest it’s turned out a little better than I thought. Already thinking about future developments.
You can view more details of this […]
Sparks are Flying !
Busy working on a new sculpture design, a fairly large circular piece that I’m planning to mount in stone. This one will be finished with a rusted patina, but I’m already thinking that a stainless steel version with a mirror polish or bronze version with a green verdigris would look great.
Braganca Sculpture – new stunning version of one of my favorite garden sculptures using a mix of materials
Just finished a new version of one of my favorite garden sculptures ‘Braganca’ named after a beautiful small town in northern Portugal where I first sketched the idea for the piece whilst on holiday. The sculpture was made as a special commission with the client requesting the mix of materials which certainly works.
The new […]
Just got back from delivering my latest sculpture commission, a pair of Giraffe’s. The client’s brief was for a garden sculpture that was a little more contemporary, rather than a straight replica. Hopefully I’ve achieved this.
I’ve made the Giraffe’s from a slightly thicker than usual 10mm metal to give added strength to the slender […]
Something new, our Cow Parsley Wall Panel. The panel is based on the design of our popular Cow Parsley design, and makes use of the design in a simple graphical repeat pattern. The simplistic design lends itself to both traditional and more contemporary gardens and houses. It adds a little interest to patio areas […]
The Running Hare is our latest sculpture, a design that Simon has been working on over the summer. After revisiting and refining the design many times, he was finally happy and had the design laser cut at the end of last month. The laser cutting process allows for really intricate detail, such as the […]
The Leaf Sculptures were commissioned by a forest school Nr Preston. The schools four houses are named after leavs, Lime, Sycamore, Poplar and Rowan and we were commissioned to design and create larger than life versions to help the children with identifying the different leavs.
For the design we decided that we couldn’t really stray […]
Spent an idyllic day, installing ‘A Herd of Deer’ sculptures at Bothy Vineyard, near Oxford for a forthcoming exhibition ‘Sculpture in the Vineyard’ featuring a range of contemporary sculpture. Unfortunately I was driving so couldn’t sample the goods.
Show opens 8th – 23rd September, Bothy Vineyard, Frilford Heath OX13 6QW
