Bukhara, a new contemporary garden sculpture that I have just finished that can be placed in the garden or inside on a suitable plinth. The sculpture is made from marine grade marine stainless steel which has then been mirror polished by a local company who do a really fantastic job.
It’s another piece that’s influenced from my travels through the amazing country of Uzbekistan with its gorgeous buildings, covered in geometric mosaics that have influenced the design of this piece.
With a height of 170cm it’s made from two identical, almost teardrop shapes that interlock to form a cross and feature an intricate repeat pattern and this version is mounted on a granite plinth.
I’m pleased to say that I will have the sculpture on display at the @chichesteropenstudios which starts on Saturday 22nd April 2023.
