Just got back from installing my work at Showborough House for the forthcoming sculpture exhibition. Just outside the riverside village of Twyning, near Tewkesbury, it’s always a pleasure to visit being smaller and more informal than some exhibitions. Despite the recent weather the garden was starting to come into flower and I was particularly pleased with the positioning of my ‘Swathe of Poppies’ under a large shady tree amongst the lovely hellebore’s that were in full flower. The Swathe is made up of 15 Poppy sculptures of two sizes that were made especially for the exhibition. if you are interested in a similar installation please drop us a note or give a ring, +44 (0)750 121 3800.

I’m also showing a Flight of Avocets and the Sandpiper Sculptures and was grateful of the helping hand form Jess, a Border Collie that lives at Showborough.

After installing I had a pint and bacon sandwich village pub and had planned to walk along the river to Tewkesbury, but the river was in full flood, in fact most of the valley was flooded. Ended up driving and found that most of Tewkesbury was also flooded, but it was well worth it even if it was just to get the photo below.
