Spent a sunny day last week at West Lavington Manor in Wiltshire installing sculptures for a forthcoming exhibition. The Deer sculptures are in the perfect setting in a newley planted Birch grove next to the Trout stream which flows into a beautiful lake and the Cow Parsley’s are in one of the more informal beds among small shrubs and grasses. The gardens cover about five acres and there are a variety of both formal and informal spaces with each having its own planting theme.

The exhibition opens on 26 May. Then continues each Wednesday to Sunday until 12 June with an additional opening on Bank Holiday Monday 30 May. Hours of opening are 11am until 6pm each day. Entry fee is £7. A seniors concession of £5 is available excepting on the NGS day 11 June.

The Manor is located at 1 Church Street, West Lavington, Wiltshire SN10 4LA
