Just finished a new version of one of my favorite garden sculptures ‘Braganca’ named after a beautiful small town in northern Portugal where I first sketched the idea for the piece whilst on holiday. The sculpture was made as a special commission with the client requesting the mix of materials which certainly works.
The new sculpture is made from a mix of stainless steel that’s been mirror polished and a contrasting corten steel finished with a rusted patina. I love the way the one half almost disappears into the background whilst reflecting everything in the garden and around. The client has placed it in a more enclosed garden setting, adding intrigue as you walk past with the changing reflections.
The sculpture is a bespoke piece and is made to order so both the size and materials can be specified to suit the intended location.
